I did it.
I said 'No'.
Once again I was asked to work in the restaurant. Last night it seemed everyone one else was stood still chatting in a "quiet for saturday night" whilst I handled a packed restaurant. I think I'm right in saying I put £70 of tips in the jar (that's a different story).
I hate how I more often than not do a headless chicken act, and the punters notice it - they've told me they have mentioned it to my boss.
But this is the first time I've replied 'no' to 'your going in the restaurant'.
I feel proud and a bit of guilt.
I know they won't be happy but tough, it isn't fair.
This is not me having a dig, just think the work should be shared equally.
